Her journey began in the mid-'90s when she started opening her home to a small group of women, which eventually evolved into the well-known and inspiring Lydia Luncheon—a powerful movement aimed at helping women leverage their gifts and advance their kingdom-driven purpose in the marketplace.
With over 37 years of entrepreneurial experience, Janet is more than just passionate about her work—she's equipped and ready to guide other women in claiming their rightful place, unlocking their potential, and stepping into the destiny they were meant to fulfill.

The LYDIA Luncheon is an annual gathering for women entrepreneurs. Hosted by Janet S. Harrington, Executive Director of Hope Within Initiatives, a non-profit organization that exists to prevent recidivism through education and support. This women-led movement is dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs, leaders, and business owners by creating transformative experiences.
Our work is to spark a movement that fuels business growth, fosters authentic relationships, and helps women align with their God-given gifts. Through this, we aim to unlock true wealth and propel women toward their destined success—together.
